Heavenly Hideaway cabin, near the Biltmore estate in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a cozy cabin built with romance in mind. Close to Asheville, with your own hot tub, private deck facing the woods and 200 acres to explore in a gated residence… what more could you want?

Located eleven miles southeast of Asheville in the Fairview countryside, we are just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grove Park Inn, Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We can’t wait for the new zip-line at the Crowne Plaza in Asheville, too.

Heavenly Hideaway was opened in March 2007 and built with an eye for what couples need and want for an escape. It’s not “cutesy” or cluttered with “musty antiques” just 750 sq. feet of romantic fun space. You will not want to leave!

Accommodations

One step in. No lofts to climb up. Pet friendly. You are secluded with privacy, privacy, privacy — but only 3 miles from gas and groceries. The local pizza place even delivers. All linens and towels are provided along with a full kitchen of gadgets and outdoor gas grill. Just bring the food… or go out to eat. Asheville is known for the eclectic cuisine in its many fine restaurants and just 15 minutes away.

This is NOT your cookie cutter pre-fab cabin! It’s custom designed to fit the property with an interior using local, sustainably cut wood. It smells woodsy the minute you walk in. The cathedral ceiling is just right height to make you feel roomy…not swallowed up by extra space. Heavenly Hideaway has a king size bed, a door that closes, remote gas log fireplace, HD TV, wireless internet, hot tub under the stars, quartzite counter tops and gourmet kitchen, if you must cook. One guest described it… “rustic luxury”.

Hot Tub under the Stars…

So many other cabins with hot tubs have them under a deck roof. How are you supposed to connect with the universe like that?

A deck cat-walk leads to his hot tub from the master bedroom so you can use the robes provided… or not.

Just you two, the trees, the crickets, the deer, the turkeys, the birds and when the moon is full, ooo-la-la…

Attractions on the Property

Now if you want views, just put on your hiking shoes and trek out on the many trails on this 200 acre estate. Fish or even swim in Peterson Pond on the property.

Sun yourselves, swim, fish, play horse shoes... relax at Peterson pond in the valley.

If you’re curious about the valley farm you can ask for a tour of the conservation management of forest land, the sawmill, the U-Pick blueberry operation, the small herd of Black Angus cattle sold for beef, the free-range chickens (yes, you get a dozen eggs), and a honey bee apiary, with honey making a great take-home souvenir.

Wildlife

Yes, Virginia, there really are multi-colored feathers on a gobbler turkey.

Wildlife? The turkeys have their morning rounds through the property, the silent deer have dusk appointments, a pilliated woodpecker gives an unmistakable call in flight, blue-birds flit avoiding the watchful red-tailed hawk, night owls hoot, and katydids on summer nights will serenade you. But what you WON’T hear is traffic! What you WON’T see are city lights.
